The objective of the RDR520 is to give an understanding of the use of radar in small boats as an aid to navigation, pilotage and for collision avoidance. Small boats increasingly have radar on board. The International Regulations for the Prevention of Collisions at Sea state that if you have a radar, you must know how to use it.

- Radar plotting.
- The use of radar in navigation and collision avoidance.
Admission
Candidates should have successfully completed JMTBS120 and JMTCR220
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age or older and in good health. Every Candidate must submit a Registration Form completed and signed. Deck shoes are mandatory.
Tuition
- $1600 prepaid and required to schedule the training.
- All costs are payable in U.S. currency only.
- Jocelyn Maritime Training accepts Visa, Master Card and ATH payments.
Transfer / Refund Policy
Bookings cancelled less than 14 days prior to the scheduled start date may be refunded up to 50% of the tuition paid. Bookings cancelled 7 days or less will not be refunded. The candidate can register for a future course and utilize the credit towards the tuition for that course.
